Exceptional Work Experience (EWE)
Kentucky's minimum graduation requirement set forth in 704 KAR 3:305 specify students must complete one of eight graduation qualifiers beginning with students entering 9th grade in the 2019-2020 school year. These qualifiers help ensure graduates are prepare for what comes after high school. One possible graduation qualifiers is the Exceptional Work Experience. According to the graduation qualifier, students must "Complete a KDE approved process to verify 500 hours of exceptional work experience or alternative requirements outlined in a student's Individual Education Program (IEP)." |
